Solvane & Daniele Di Martino "Back To"
Berliners Daniele Di Martino and Solvane join forces at the intersection of Deep and Tech, serving up three weighty cuts of four-to-the-floor heat in their “title” EP.
“Back to” plunges in with a gradually ascending staccato of vibrant synths, laying down the groove bar by bar. In contrast with the light emitting synth array comes a low key bassline, making for a down to earth yet dreamy overall ambiance. Silenced echoes last for a few moments until “Reality” kicks in with subdued groovy bass and faint vocal chops. The two producers aptly use slow paced build ups, creating ever-ascending yet constantly grounded melodies. Stil vor Talent kick-starter Marc Holstege on remix duties delivers a smooth rework of Reality. A resounding synth lead carves out subtle rhythm variations while metallic percussion adds to the gravity of the piece.
“Kraxler” touches a different strain of their production spectrum, revealing a composition that is equally introspective as it is dance-inducing. With a minimalist backbone and arpeggiated string arrangements, it suitably rounds off the EP with a mesmerising melody dotted with punchy accents, fit to stir up any dancefloor.
Biography Daniele Di Martino
Daniele Di Martino has a simple and direct approach to club music and is well known for his impelling mixture of Deep House and Techno. His personal experience is mirrored in his music and thus enables his audience to be part of his ongoing journey as a musician. Although a Berliner by choice, he has also managed to make a name for himself beyond the capital’s boundaries.
Di Martino’s EP “OUCHH” (2016) as well as the mix “Zabak” (2015) are clear indicators for his passion for a deep and straightforward sound. The producer, DJ, and label owner is strongly involved in the Deep House movement. However, that does not mean that he is one to shy away from Techno elements to create a versatile sound that makes you want to dance. Nevertheless, especially the melodic influences and vocals that are added to the mix provide Di Martino’s music with a catchy easiness and light playfulness.
Born and raised near Munich, he started playing the cello at the age of four, devoted his teenage years to Hip Hop, and finally fell in love with electronic music. Highlights of his ongoing musical evolution so far have been releases on labels such as Toolroom Records and Armada Music. Di Martino continues keeping an open mind towards various musical styles which is evident in his work as a DJ as well as a producer. In 2013, the trained boatbuilder moved to Berlin after spending one and a half years in London. Germany’s capital did not only mark the start of Di Martino’s producing career but also became the home of his label MONO.NOISE which was founded in 2017. The label features Di Martino with his contemporary, straightforward, and deep sound as well as artists from his creative network.
December will mark the much-anticipated release of his new vinyl EP “Faust.” The trilogy’s unique tracks (including one Thomas Schumacher remix) are made for long winter nights in small, intense clubs. They also indicate Di Martino’s return to his roots: straight Deep House with pushing bass lines.
Solvane's activities are moved by passion. Making his style versatile and emotional, which allowed him to play the big stages around the globe; from Burning Man Festival to Fusion, from European capitals like London, Paris and Ibiza to Australia, Asia and the USA.
Since his teenage years, Solvane was playing on stage and discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music in his early twenties. The different styles in music throughout his life inspired him to experiment new things in his music style.
Since 10 years Solvane is producing his tracks in Berlin, his chosen home. His songs are supported by acts such as Claptone, Kollektiv Turmstraße as well as Digitalism. In 2016 he made it into the Electronica Charts by Beatport with his latest release “Ophelias’s Organ”, which is co-produced by Prismode und released by Ritter Butzke Studio.
Biography Light my Fire
Let’s head for new shores. That is precisely what the Berlin-based producer, DJ and label owner Oliver Koletzki thought when he recently founded his second imprint Light my Fire after seven years of Stil vor Talent. The inspiration came from his favourite The Doors classic and the LMF-philosophy is equally simple: electronic music that speaks volumes, with an international impact and focus on the dance-floor.
